According to preliminary information released by police, officers were notified of the serious collision shortly before 2:00 a.m. Monday. When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they determined a blue Honda Fit that had sustained extensive damage after reportedly leaving the roadway and striking a fence belonging to a nearby business before continuing into a tree on the northern side of the road.
Four unidentified male occupants were reportedly trapped inside the vehicle following the crash. Fire Services personnel responded and worked to safely remove the occupants from the heavily damaged vehicle, after which Emergency Medical Services transported the men to hospital for treatment.
The occupants were admitted to hospital in serious condition. As traffic investigators continued their inquiries and later attended the hospital, medical personnel informed them that the adult male driver had succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care. The deceased driver was identified as Bei Matty, also known as “Up Tha Price.”
